1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WritForge (“the Service”), operated by WritForge (“we,” “our,” or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

WritForge is an AI-powered legal document generation platform that assists law firms in creating demand letters and other legal documents. The Service includes document templates, AI-assisted document generation, file uploads, team collaboration, and document management features.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

  • Access to document generation features requires a paid subscription.
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • Each subscription tier includes a specified number of document generations per billing period. Additional documents beyond the included amount are billed at a per-document rate.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or generated documents to third parties as a competing service
  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive legal documents

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Documents generated by WritForge are created using artificial intelligence and are intended as drafts to assist licensed attorneys. AI-generated documents are not a substitute for professional legal judgment. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • All generated documents must be reviewed, edited, and approved by a licensed attorney before use.
  • WritForge does not provide legal advice, and use of the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and WritForge.
  • AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy and legal sufficiency of all generated documents.
  • WritForge is not liable for any outcomes resulting from the use of AI-generated documents.

7. Your Content & Data

  • You retain ownership of all content you upload to or generate through the Service, including case documents, form data, and generated legal documents.
  • You grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process all content submitted to the Service.
  • We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Generated documents are retained as part of your account history.
  • Uploaded case files are retained based on your subscription tier and may be automatically deleted after the retention period expires.
  • You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

9. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, templates, branding, and documentation, is owned by WritForge and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Document templates provided through the Service are licensed for your use in generating documents and may not be redistributed or resold.
  • You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WRITFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WritForge, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
  • You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
